My name is Andy Lehman and I am the owner operator of Andy's Crappie Company.
I'd like to tell you a little about myself and what you can expect in a day on Rend Lake with me.
I am 37 years old and have 3 wonderful kids and I absolutely love to spend time on the water with family, friends and clients. There is nothing better than a great day on the water with old friends or making new ones.
I have spent 15+ years fishing on Rend Lake and have over 100 way points marked (brush piles, stake beds, etc). I have learned seasonal patters and have lots of places to catch fish. I will answer all your questions and give lots of pointers and advice for your next trip out.
I prefer to vertical jig because it allows you to control your bait, and once you feel that "THUMP" you'll be hooked too! I will, however, adapt to your style or whatever the fish are wanting on that particular day. You'll be using top of the line tackle, I don't buy cheap stuff for my clients.
I cannot control Mother Nature and there are days when the fishing is slower than others. I will let you know in advance and let you know how the bite is and what to expect. If for whatever reason the fish don't bite for us I will do what I can make it up to you.
I do not fish tournaments so there is no conflict of interest as far as me taking you to my favorite hot spots. You will be fishing the same places I fish myself.
We will be fishing from a 20' long, 8' wide Polar Kraft aluminum boat set up for Crappie fishing. There are 3 huge, padded platforms to fish from and lots of carpeted floor space to kick back and relax. There is plenty of room for the kids.
I will bring a big cooler, ice and plenty of water. You bring what you like to eat or we can pull into the resort and have a hot meal. Remember to dress accordingly and don't forget your sunglasses and camera.
If I have missed one of your concerns feel free to call and ask. Thanks for looking and I can't wait to go catch some Crappie with you. Enjoy the best fishing in Southern IL. with me.
Thank you and take care, Andy.
